Welcome to another CFL, CFL DFS advice article. We are coming of another profitable week last week and are 4 of 4 so far this season. This is the first time I have started a CFL DFS season with four straight profitable weeks. We have our first three game slate of the season, with three teams on a bye week. I am probably going to play a little lighter this week due to the smaller slate.
MIKE REILLY Edmonton Eskimos $11,500
Mike Reilly moves back into the number one spot. He has a matchup at home against the Argos. The Argos did a great job last week to limit the Esks offense. Reilly is just too good to not bounce back. Also, don’t forget about those one-yard touchdown plunges that he seems to get every week.
BO LEVI MITCHELL Calgary Stampeders $9,900
BLM is ranked second this week partially due to lack of really good matchups this week. The Stamps have the potential to have an explosive offense. Although we really haven’t seen it yet this young season, although the Stamps are 3-0. A stack with BLM and two Stampeders receivers might win you a GPP this week.
JAMES FRANKLIN Toronto Argonauts $8,000
Franklin was good last week for the Argos. Good enough for them to get their first win of the season and beat a very good Eskimos team at home. Franklin is low priced enough to allow us to fit in a lot of other high priced safe plays into our GPP lines up. If he has a slightly more productive game then he did last week he just might be the key that unlocks a GPP victory.
WILLIAM POWELL Ottawa RedBlacks $7,800
Powell has been the most consistent RB so far this season. He has had no less than 18.1 DK points is any of his 3 games so far this season. The Calgary offense hasn’t been able to score at a rate that would lead me to think that they are going to force the RedBlacks to abandon the run on Thursday. Powell is a safe option in cash and definitely has the upside for your GPP lineups.
ANDREW HARRIS Winnipeg Blue Bombers $8100
Looking at the score of last week’s matchup against the Lions would have thought that all the Bombers players on offense had a big game but they didn’t. They mostly took advantage of a Lions offense that turned over the ball and failed be make first downs. The one player on the Bombers that did have a big game was Andrew Harris. Harris is a safe play at running back this week and is the Bombers biggest weapon on offense.
JAMES WILDER JR. Toronto Argonauts $7,700
Last week we saw the James Wilder JR that we saw last season. Wilder had 120 yards on the ground with a TD and caught 3 more passes. I expect the Eskimos to game plan to stop Wilders but I still think he is safe to put into your lineups.
D’HAQUILLE WILLIAMS Edmonton Eskimos $9,000
Duke Williams isn’t going to be in the CFL for much longer if he keeps playing the way he has been playing. He is leading the league in receiving yards and is third in catches. He is playing the field slot which is the spot on the field that generally gets the most targets on a team. He is a safe play even at $9,000.
DARVIN ADAMS Winnipeg Blue Bombers $7,100
The Bombers did take advantage of the Lions on the field side wide receiver position last week as I predicted, in spite of the Lions moving Anthony Orange to the field side corner. Adams didn’t have as huge of a game as I thought he was going to have but he still put up a respectable 15.6 points for us. I expect he will duplicate that again this week or do even better.
KENNY STAFFORD Edmonton Eskimos $6,700
Kenny Stafford has taken advantage of the targets he has been getting. He has also taken advantage of the extra attention that has been given to the top two receivers of the Esks. Stafford has 37 DK points in his last two games. Look for him to continue that pace.
REGGIE BEGELTON Calgary Stampeders $3,900
The Stampeders will be missing Eric Rogers this week. Reggie Begelton looks to be taking over the field side slot position for the Stamps. At $3900 he is a low risk and possibly a very high reward play this week.
RICKY COLLINS JR. BC Lions $4,400
With the Lions starting Collins Jr at the field wideout he is always in a good position to have a big game. He only needs to get into the end zone to reach value. While the Lions offense isn’t really impressing us so far this season. They are at home this week where they won their only game of the season.
DAVARIS DANIELS Calgary Stampeders $7,000
Davaris Daniels has been consistent and is just waiting for Bo Levi Mitchell to hit is stride. I expect Daniels to not be the highest owned Calgary receiver but he most definitely does have the potential to be the Calgary receiver with the most Draftkings points at the end of the game. His price doesn’t break the bank and he has the upside to have a big game.
BLUE BOMBERS $5,100
The Bombers will be the highest owned defense this week. Last week they put up 17 points against the Lions. They have 6 interceptions and 10 sacks so far this season. They also managed to score 2 touchdowns. This is not a genius pick by any means. This is a Bombers defense for the block pick.
