CFL 2018 week 19

Welcome to another CFL, CFL DFS advice article.  This week we have a 4 game slate. There are only 3 weeks left in the regular season. Winnipeg is on a bye this week.  Let’s get started!

QB:

JEREMIAH MASOLI Hamilton Tiger-cats $11,600

Masoli and his Tiger-Cats play the RedBlacks tonight in a battle for first in the east.  Masoli has had the best season of his career. Masoli has supplanted Mike Reilly as the highest priced QB this week.  The high price tag is well deserved as he has 4 straight games with 30 or more DK points against the east.

TREVOR HARRIS Ottawa RedBlacks $10,100

If you are looking to save some money at QB and want to differentiate your lineups Trevor Harris is your guy.  I think he is playable in either cash or GPPs. Given all of the weapons that Harris has, he should be able to put up some points even in a tough matchup.

TRAVIS LULAY BC Lions $9,100

Lulay is a GPP option against the Esks this week.  His price allows us to fit some of the higher priced players that I like this week.  The Lions have been outstanding at home this season with a 6-1 record. Look for Lulay to have a big game in a climate controlled atmosphere.

RB:

WILLIAM POWELL Ottawa RedBlacks $8,200

Powell had an off week last week.  He has still been very consistent this season.  I think he will be a little low owned this week making him a great GPP play given his upside.  He had 20+ points in 3 straight weeks before his game last week.

TYRELL SUTTON BC Lions $6,800

Sutton looked outstanding and ran with power last week in his first start of the season with the Lions.  He was behind a better offensive line than he was in Montreal and played with more energy with his new opportunity to play in the playoffs this season.  The Lions will clinch a playoff stop with a win this week. I expect a big game from Sutton this week against a weak Esks run defense.

BRANDON BURKS Toronto Argonauts $6,400

Burks has been impressive with his two starts at running back for the Argos.  Both Montreal and Toronto are already eliminated from the playoffs. Burks is a player that is playing for a job next season and should take advantage of the opportunities he gets this week.  Expect Burks to run hard against a week Montreal defense.

WR:

BRANDON BANKS Hamilton Tiger-Cats $10,000

Brandon Banks has been the most consistent receiver in the league this season.  He and the Tiger-Cats have a great plus matchup this week. Banks should be very high owned this week.  He needs to be in you cash lineups because if he isn’t you are not likely to cash.

BRAD SINOPOLI Ottawa RedBlacks $8,700

Ottawa and Hamilton have the highest expected point total on the week.  I expect them to play a close game. Sinopoli leads the league in catches and when you get a point per reception the guy with the most receptions is a good play.

DIONTAE SPENCER Ottawa RedBlacks $9,100

Spencer is the upside play in the RedBlacks receiver core.  He returns kicks which also gives him a solid floor as well.  He is usable in cash games but he is really a great play in GPPs.

S.J. GREEN Toronto Argonauts $8,500

With a change at QB for the Argos last week we had an S.J. Green sighting.  He had a big game with 7 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown. Green has been an almost forgotten star in the league this season after being the team MVP of a championship team.  He will be a low owned player that we use in our GPPS this week.

MARKEITH AMBLES Calgary Stampeders $5,000

Ambles impressed last week in a starting role for a depleted Calgary receiving core. His price at only $5,000.  He only needs double-digit points to reach value.

MARQUAY MCDANIEL Hamilton Tiger-Cats $4,000

McDaniel is a GPP dart.  He hasn’t played a game yet this season after getting injured last season while playing for the Stamps.  McDaniel is in the Tiger-Cats starting lineup this week. His price is very affordable allowing us to fit in some of the more expensive players we want to fit into our lineups.

CORY WATSON BC Lions $4,000

Cory Watson has been a consistent receiver for the Lions this season.  He hasn’t had a ton of opportunity with targets but he has taken advantage of most of his targets this year by catching a very high percentage of them.

Defense:

STAMPEDERS $5,400

The Stamps are the best defense in the league with the fewest points allowed.  They get a match up against the Riders that were shutout by the Bombers.

LIONS $4,600

The Lions defense may have been the best in the league since Labour Day.  The Lions lead the league in interceptions and pass knockdowns. They are at home where they have only lost once this season.
