Welcome to another CFL, CFL DFS advice article.  This week we have a 4 game slate. There are only 6 weeks left in the regular season.  This season is starting to heat up with some interesting playoff races along with some really great games.  Last week ended with what may have been the best game of the season so far, the Lions scoring a last-second TD and two-point conversion and an overtime win.  Let’s get started!

MIKE REILLY Edmonton Eskimos $11,800

Reilly is clearly the best fantasy QB in the CFL.  He leads the league in passing yards, passing TDs and is rushing TDs.  This is an easy decision in cash games. In GPPs you fade him at your own risk.

Last week Jennings seemed to recapture the promise he showed in 2016.  He shredded the Tiger-Cats defense for 347 yards, to lead the Lions to another win at home.  This week he and the Lions go on the road to take on the same Tiger-Cats team but I think with the way the Lions defense has played for the last 3 weeks Jennings is going to have a great opportunity to have another great game.

BO LEVI MITCHELL Calgary Stampeders $11,200

It is hard to imagine that BLM would be a sneaky GPP play but I think he is.  Most that will pay up at QB will go with Reilly. Most of those that don’t want to pay what it will take to get Reilly in their lineups will look elsewhere.  That is why I think Mitchell is sneaky and he is a great play. He has a plus matchup against the Argos who have allowed 296 passing yards a game the 2nd most on this slate.  There is an argument to be made that the Argos are the worst pass defense in the league right now given the improvement Montreal as make recently.

WILLIAM STANBACK Montreal Alouettes $5,700

With the trade of Sutton to the Lions Stanback is the new starting running back for Montreal.  He should see the bulk of the touches at running back for the Als and is the 12th priced running back on the slate.  Last week as the starter he had 12 rush attempts and 4 catches. Look for Stanback to easily reach 2x value. If he gets into the end zone he is an outstanding play.

ANDREW HARRIS  Winnipeg Blue Bombers $8,200

If you are playing multiple GPP lineups you should have Harris in at least one of those lineups.  Harris is the most dynamic back in the league. He is capable both on the ground and through the air which means game script doesn’t matter.  He should get touches no matter the score. He has a nice matchup against the Eskimos who allow the most points in running backs in the CFL.

D’HAQUILLE WILLIAMS Edmonton Eskimos $10,100

A slightly disappointing week for Duke Williams last week.  He had 16.5 points. When 16.5 points are disappointing you know that Williams is elite.  The Bombers are almost in turmoil as they ended a 4 game losing streak last week. Look for Edmonton to take advantage of the wounded Bombers this week.

REGGIE BEGELTON Calgary Stampeders $7,500

Begelton had 5 catches in the Stamps last game to lead the Stamps.  As the Stamps look to deal with the many injuries in the receiving core I think Begelton should see a bigger role.

J. WILLIAMS-LAMBERT Saskatchewan Roughriders $6,400

Who else are the Riders going to throw the ball to?  The Riders don’t throw for a lot of yards. With Roosevelt listed as out of the lineup this week, I expect Williams-Lambert to get more targets than usual.

Bryan Burnham is starting to look like the receiver he was in 2017.  He is now up to 7 TD catches on the season with 2 last week against the same Tiger-Cats he is facing this week.  I think the Tiger-Cats are going to try and minimize him however he will still see lots of targets because he is by far the Lions best passing option.

BRYANT MITCHELL Edmonton Eskimos $5,400

Bryant Mitchell had 8 catches in his last game against the RedBlacks as he tries to replace Derel Walker.  His price is so low I think he should be in every lineup you put together this week. He only had one TD this season but I think he finds the end zone this week against the struggling Bombers.

JUWAN BRESCACIN Calgary Stampeders $4,300

Brescacin also lead the Stamps in their last game with 5 catches.  He moves up the depth chart as the Stamps restructure their receivers.  As I said earlier I really like the Stamps matchup against the Argos this week. Brescacin is a great value option this week in that plus match up against the Argos.

CORY WATSON BC Lions $3,900

Last week the Lions put up 347 passing yards. Watson has moved up on the depth chart for receivers and had 5 catches last week.  Watson is a nice value play that doesn’t come with many risks given his price. He will leave some salary free for us to use the more expensive players we want to get into our lineups.

LIONS $4,200

The Lions defense had 5 sacks last week against the Tiger-Cats.  They did have back to back 3 interception games going into last week’s game.   The Lions defense is hot right now I am going to go with the hot hand this week.
