Welcome to another CFL, CFL DFS advice article. This week we have a three-game slate. I don’t like the three-game slates as much as I like the four-game slates in spite of having success in them. I will be lowering how much I play this week. Let’s get started!
TRAVIS LULAY BC Lions $9,200
The Alouettes have been a lot better defensively in their last two games. However, they have a bend don’t break philosophy on defense. Lulay is the type of veteran QB that should be able to take advantage of space on the field and I expect the Lions to move the ball downfield. We will see if he can put it into the end zone. With the lack of value on this slate this week. Lulay is a good option.
ANTONIO PIPKIN Montreal Alouettes $8,200
You guys know that I like me some Pipkin. The Lions were dominant against the RedBlacks last week but I think a more mobile Pipkin should be able to avoid some pressure that the Lions will bring.
WILLIAM POWELL Ottawa RedBlacks $8,000
Powell ran well in BC last week and fell short of the end zone or he would have had a great week. He is usually in the running to have a 100-yard rushing game given how many touches he gets each week. The pickings are slim at running back this week and Powell in your lineup will give you comfort by knowing that he is going to put up a number of points for you.
DON JACKSON/ Romar Morris Calgary Stampeders $7,200/ $6,800
Last week I recommended whoever started in the as the Calgary backfield. Romar Morris started and he put up 43 DK points, unfortunately, Draftkings removed him from the player pool. Come on Draftkings! What were you thinking? Anyways, I like the Stamps starting running back again this week. The Stamps travel to Hamilton this week and I expect the Stamps to look to establish the run and to continue running the ball.
BRANDON BANKS Hamilton Tiger-Cats $9,800
I know the matchup and I know that the Stamps should come out angry on Saturday. However, I also know the talent of Brandon Banks. He appears to be almost matchup proof. Banks is nearly unstoppable right now. He is a little banged up but who isn’t this time of the season? Make sure he is in the lineup on Saturday before your roster locks but assuming he is on the field he should be in your lineups.
DAVARIS DANIELS Calgary Stampeders $9,400
With the injuries to Eric Rogers and Kamar Jordan Daniels has put up 20 plus points three weeks in a row. He is the primary target in Calgary by a lot. Look for him to get a lot of targets and for him to have another 20 plus points.
B.J. CUNNINGHAM Montreal Alouettes $7,000
With Pipkin in Cunningham has been able to catch a long pass in each of those games. Cunningham is a speedster and Pipkin can throw the long ball. Look for them to connect at least one time on a big play this week.
J. WILLIAMS-LAMBERT Saskatchewan Roughriders $6,300
Look who is now the most expensive WR on DK for the Riders! Lambert has hit value 3 weeks in a row all while his price has climbed. Ottawa isn’t a strong defensive team. Lambert is still a value at only $6,300.
BRYAN BURNHAM BC Lions $7,300
Burnham should be able to take advantage of some plus matchups in Montreal this week. I expect Lulay to find in underneath a defense that will be looking to take away the big play.
RICKY COLLINS JR. BC Lions $7,300
Ricky Collins had his first 100 yard game of the season last week. With the signing of Delvir Posey he has moved to the slot for the Lions. Expect his targets to increase and for Collins to have another big game in Montreal.
Last week the Lions may have had the most dominant performance by a defense this season. They had 6 sacks and 3 int. I like Pipkin a lot but with how the Lions pass rush has improved recently I expect it to give Pipkin some struggles against the Lions defense.
