NBA DFS: FantasyBums Dropping Dimes Cash/GPP 1/10

We have ourselves a 9 game slate tonight with five of the nine at 210 points or more and two at over 220 points. This is a pretty solid slate with one of the worst defensive teams on it, the Nets. You will see a good amount of Hawks players listed below, as it is one of my favorite games. My other favorite game is the Blazers and Lakers, you can find a lot of good plays from here as well. My favorite play of the day is going to Isaiah Thomas, he is going to have to step up his game tonight with Avery Bradley out. He has already shown us some big games this year and this may be another.

*Always keep an eye out for players sitting due to injuries or illness(there has been a lot players sitting due to illness as of late)*

Favorite games: Blazers vs Lakers, and Hawks vs Nets

FPS-Fantasy Points, FPPM-Fantasy Points Per Minute, GPPTournament games with large amount of players and larger prize pool.

Point Guards

Dennis Schroder ($6900)

I like  to target players in fast paced games and who are playing teams that are horrible at defense. Schroder is the man for that tonight as he faces the Nets who run at the fastest pace and are the worst defensive team. The Nets area allowing 51.2 FPs to opposing PGs on the season and 54.5 FPs over the past five games. Schroder minutes are safe as well as his floor and is a safe cash play tonight with upside for GPPs due to matchup.

Also consider-Marcus Smart should be starting for Avery Bradley again, George Hill has a solid matchup against the Cavaliers, plays 30 plus minutes.

Isaiah Thomas ($8900)

Avery Bradley has been ruled out and when he is off the floor Thomas’s usage goes up to 38%. He is an one of my favorite players to watch because he is only 5’9″ and the dude is fearless. Thomas is the Celtics main scorer and they will need him to pick up his game a bit to keep up with the Raptors. This game has one of the higher totals on the night and I want some exposure to it and Thomas is one of my favorite from the game.

Also consider-Damian Lillard and Kyle Lowry are also very solid GPP plays, DeAngelo Russell played well versus Blazers last time out and he is at home tonight. Michael Carter-Williams will need to play a bigger role with Wade and Butler off the floor, he should exceed value tonight. Darren Collison is another cheap option with eight times upside. Jordan Clarkson went of on Blazers last time out, cheap punt. Jerian Grant may get the start tonight and is worth a look.

Shooting Guards

C.J. McCollum ($8800)

McCollum has been on an absolute tear as of late, and has kept it up with Lillard back. In his last four games he has three 50 or more FPs and one 42, and also went over 30 real points in three of four as well. He his on fire and I like to roll with players who are hot and also have a excellent matchup. McCollum plays in the high 30s in minutes, and his floor has been very solid as of late. He makes a solid cash play with the upside for a GPP play as well.

Also consider- Jeremy Lamb should slide into the starting role again tonight, pace up game for the Hornets and Lamb has been showing us 1.2 FPPM as of late. Solid cash and GPP. Tim Hardaway Jr. Has been playing more minutes since Korver got traded, excellent matchup.Brady Beal has alos been safe for cash.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($5700)

Caldwell-Pope has played 39 minutes or more in six of his last eight games, he has also hot 30 or more FPS in five out those eight. One of the main reasons why I like him tonight is that I like to target the Kings at SG. They allow 1.11 times the league average and rank 26th  this is a great spot for KCP tonight.

Also consider-James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo both have solid matchups. DeMar Derozan is heating up again. Klay Thompson minutes are safe and KCP just lite up Mia the other night, Thompson could have a big game. Allen Crabbe has been balling as of late. Sean Kilpatrick is a frustrating players to roster, his price is down and I really like the matchup tonight.

Small Forwards

DeMarre Carroll ($3800)

His price has gone down to under 4k due to the lack of minutes, but he has played close to 40 minutes in his last three games. This matchup may not be the best, but Carroll should do enough in this game to hit value(which is only 19 FP).

Also consider- Doug McDermott don’t let the game yesterday get to you, he will bounce back tonight and exceed value. He will be one of the Bulls main scorers tonight, safe for cash and GPP. Kawhi Leonard has a good enough matchup to hit value.

Bojan Bogdonavic ($4200)

This is more of a risk play, but Bogdonavic has bee hot his last two games and he also has a solid matchup. This game has a high total and the Nets run at the fastest pace, this gives Bogdonavic more opportunities. The kid is a pure shooter and if he stays hot tonight, he could go off for 30 real points in this matchup.

Also consider-Sam Dekker will be an excellent play if Eric Gordon sits, he will be main usage on 2nd unit. Otto Porter is in a good spot against a hurting Bulls team. Trevor Ariza has been playing a lot minutes and like his matchup. Rudy Gay is in a good spot as Luol Deng.

Power Forwards

Paul Millsap ($8100)

The Hawks are in an ideal spot tonight and you can definitely target a few of them for your lineups. Millsap has an excellent match up along with some of his other teammates. This is going to be a pace up game for the Hawks as well as one of the higher totals on the board. Millsap has been logging in the 30s in minutes and has had a floor of around 30 as well making him a solid cash play with some upside.

Also consider-LaMarcus Aldridge has been playing very well lately and has a nice matchup. Tobias Harris is another solid cash play.

Julius Randle ($7200)

Randle has been playing very well as of late and he gets one of the best matchups on the board tonight at the PF position. Last time out versus the Blazers he put up 35 FP, which is  five times his value. He should be able to at least match that, but I think he exceeds because he plays much better at home. Randle averages 3.8 more real points and 1.8 more assists at home. This is one of my favorite games to target tonight, and I will have a good amount of exposure to it.

Also consider- Kevin Love may be the only Cavalier that I roster tonight, the Jazz are the best defensive team. I just don’t think Favors will be able to keep up with Love. Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic are both in good spots, prefer Mirotic, Derrik Favors bounce back game. Frank Kaminsky is in play if Zeller is out. Al-Farouq Aminu good spot for 6 times value.

Mason Plumlee ($6700)

His price is creeping up slowly and he still continues to hit value, keep taking advantage of his price while it stays lower. Plumlee has been extremely solid with a floor around 30 and he usually plays more than 30 minutes. As I mentioned before this is my favorite game of the night and I want a decent amount of exposure to it.

Also consider- Al Horford has been solid and has a good matchup, will aslo have to step it up some with Bradley out.  Dwight Howard has a excellent matchup.

Montrezl Harrell ($5300)

This is a good spot for Harrell and he has played well since the increase in minutes. The Hornets are ranked 25th versus opposing Centers, they allow 48.5 FP on the season and 57.2 over the past five. Harrell is a nice GPP play and more of an elite one if Eric Gordon sits, especially If he comes off the bench again. His usage will go up on the 2nd unit as Gordon was the main scorer.

Also consider- DeMarcus Cousins has a solid matchup and I like to target Drummond, Greg Monroe is worth a look, he has been getting minutes and balling with them. Gasol is not the best defender down low. Jonas Valanciunas did not do well versus Celtics last time, but think he does well tonight. Like to target Bigs against Celtics. Justin Hamilton will be a very good play if Booker sits, has been playing well off bench. And last but not least Andre Drummond has been balling lately.

*Good Luck and stay cashing
